April has been quite the whirlwind behind the scenes, but I am excited to have checked a few items off of my bucket list.
Project Front Yard Trash Bash
Even though the weather was pretty dreary the morning of the Trash Bash, we still set out to pick up litter around our neighborhood. The key find was this Mercury decorative car plate. Ari had a good time "helping" and helping me check another item off the list...Family walks in the evening
The month has been a lot more hectic than we expected, but I've still managed to at least take Ari for a few walks. It helped that I was able to use the Trash Bash and the Vermilionville Earth Day festival as two of the walks. A bonus was all of the outdoor time we got through family gatherings over the past few weeks.Vermilionville Earth Day festival
I've been going to the Earth Day festival since I think either 2010 or 2011, but this year was extra special since I got to tote Ari along. It was fun getting to walk around Vermilionville with her, especially on a beautiful day. She seemed to enjoy the visit as well, particularly the ride across the pond.Put together an eco-friendly Easter basket for Ari.
Check out my blog post all about Easter baskets here! Ari's basket was a big hit on Easter morning, and she's already gotten to play with the set of bath toys. Celebrating Easter was extra special this year, and I'm grateful for a beautiful and busy weekend. So many memories were made for sure!On this Earth Day, I'm reflecting on the beauty of nature and everything it gives us. I'm making extra sure to be as waste-free as possible, from my reusable coffee mug and water bottle to skipping single-use straws, and simply enjoying what's sure to be another gorgeous day in South Louisiana.
In addition, I'm looking forward to accomplishing a few more of my Earth Month bucket list items and preparing for Festival International! Raise your hand if you can't believe it's already Festival time...
